Guns and DrivingGuns exist to kill. In Australia, guns have saved lives against attacks by animals and warring peoples. Guns are useful in the pastoral and agriculture industries. Guns also take and threaten lives. Guns are violent, no matter what their use. The gun control debate reflects the growing concern for the quality of life within our society in both the country and city areas. The Port Arthur massacre has forced us to question where we are heading. Do we want to continue to evolve in the American pattern, where we gain untold material riches and things money can buy, but at a huge cost to peace of mind, real security, and that sense of community we still have bits of in WA? The following suggestions, they say, are to make your trip "safer and more enjoyable." Consider what the daily life and consciousness of the average American citizen must be like if these behaviours make life more enjoyable:
